The 16th Annual Builder Classic Golf Tournament was held this past Wednesday, April 11 at Mid-Pines Golf Club in Southern Pines, NC. The event raised money to benefit scholarships for two-year and four-year college students who are immediate family members of an NCHBA member.

1st Place Team of Charlie Strickland, Jamie Strickland, Chris Kepko and Thomas Bonney

This year, the team of Chris Kepko, Charlie Strickland, Jamie Strickland and Thomas Bonney took home first place with a score of 56. Second place went to the team of David Hord, Phil Warrick, Dave Ashley and Chap Kester with a score of 57.

Phil Warrick also took home the coveted Presidents Cup, which is awarded to the top-scoring team with a local, state or national president (current or past). Warrick is a past president of the Greensboro Builders Association. He is also the president-elect of NCHBA.

Since 2002, NCHBA members and their guests have participated in the Builder Classic Golf Tournament to raise more than $145,000 to provide scholarships to more than 60 deserving college students majoring in a construction-related field.
