If you had 15 minutes in front of the NCHBA membership, what would you say about membership recruitment/retention?  I find that people, generally, want to be on a team. They want to be a part of something bigger than themselves. They want to be in a situation where they feel that they are doing something for the greater good. Young members want to be a part of the tradition. This is a good thing. Tradition helps motivate people. It makes them want to renew their membership. To quote Mike Krzyzewski, “Once tradition is in place, confidence, excellence, unity and pride will grow.”
