Worsley Reappointed to Licensing Board |

Gov. Mike Easley has reappointed Carl “Pogie” Worsley of Nags Head to the North Carolina Licensing Board for General Contractors.
Worsley is president of Carl Worsley and Associates, Inc. He is a member and a past president of the Outer Banks Home Builders Association, past Region II vice president of the NC Home Builders Association, a member of the Outer Banks Association of Realtors and an appointee of the Town of Nags Head Planning Board. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard and was stationed on the Outer Banks. Worsley received his bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing from Elizabeth City State University.
The board safeguards public welfare, health, life and property by prescribing certain standards for licensees who engage in general contracting in North Carolina. There are nine members on the board, each serving a five-year term. The governor appoints all members.Worsley has been elected bu his fellow board members as chairman.
