You may pick up your badge holder and lanyard at the 21CBEC registration desk located on the College Street Concourse upon your arrival. The original block of rooms at the Westin Charlotte, Hilton Garden Inn and the Hampton Inn has sold out. For your convenience we have reserved an additional block of rooms at the Omni Hotel, which is located two blocks from the

Convention Center . There is a trolley that runs to and from the Omni to the
Charlotte

REGISTRATION
The 21CBEC Registration Desk will be located on the College Street Concourse of the
Charlotte
Convention Center . Once inside, signs will direct you to the registration area.
Registration hours are:
Wednesday, August 23 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Thursday, August 24 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, August 25 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Stations at registration will be titled as follows: General Information, Pre-Registration, On-site Registration, and Exhibitors. Visit registration to pick up your badge holder and lanyard, register for seminars, purchase additional tickets or check on other areas of interest in
Charlotte . We are here to assist you.
DRESS
Dress for the 21CBEC expo, seminars and workshops are casual. The dress for the STARS Awards Gala is formal, with evening wear for the ladies and tuxedos or dark business suits for the men.
NAME BADGES
A name badge is required for admittance to all 21CBEC events.
EXPO HOURS
Thursday, August 24 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Friday, August 25 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
There is no charge for children under the age of 18 to visit the Expo Hall. However, they must have a badge and be accompanied by an adult at all times. Strollers are not allowed on the Expo floor.
BOX LUNCHES
Box lunches are provided on Thursday and Friday in the Expo Hall for all full and/or CE delegates only. Box Lunches are sponsored by the North Carolina Home Builders Association. Expo Floor only attendees can purchase lunch at the Concession stand. In addition, other restaurants are located within walking distance of the
Charlotte
Convention Center .
FEATURED SEMINARS AND EVENTS
Over 40 seminars, including courses offering continuing education credits are available at the 21CBEC. The General Session Seminars are included with your 21CBEC Full Delegate registration. Please be on time for the
General Session Seminars as seating is limited and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Be sure to return your evaluation form at the conclusion of each class.
All NCBI and NAHB registrants will need to sign the class roster forms prior to the beginning of each course. The courses will start promptly at the designated times. Your certificate(s) will be mailed approximately 10 days after the conclusion of the Expo.
There is no charge for the Sales & Marketing Council Workshop sponsored by NAHB. However, you will need an Expo badge for admittance. To RSVP, please contact Jeff Jenkins at

GOLF TOURNAMENT If you have signed up for the golf tournament, please be advised that you will need to take private transportation to the Regent Park Golf Course. Tee time is 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday, August 23, 2006. Directions are as follows: Take I-77 South of Charlotte to exit 90 (Carowinds Exit), then one mile South on US 21. SPIKE/EXHIBITOR RECEPTION
A reception will be held on the Expo Floor Thursday, August 24, 2006 from 5:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. to recognize our outstanding SPIKE members. These are our national membership recruiters. We will also be thanking our exhibitors for their participation in the fourth annual 21st Century Building Expo. This reception is free for our SPIKE members and ticketed exhibitors. Guests may purchase tickets at registration for a cost of $20.00.
$10,000 GIVEAWAY
Each day on the expo floor, attendees will have the chance to win $10,000 by visiting 20 exhibitors and having their raffle card stamped. After you have your card completed, just drop it off at the NCHBA Booth #1142. The drawing will be held 15 minutes before the floor closes each day. You must be 18 years of age to participate but you do not have to be present to win. Along with the $10,000 prizes, you will also have the opportunity to win numerous other door prizes which we will draw during the 2-day Expo. For a chance to win these great door prizes, just fill out a form at the NCHBA Booth #1142.
BUILD-SMART DEMONSTRATION CLINICS
Demonstration clinics will be held on the Expo Floor Thursday and Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. These clinics will be conducted by experts in their field on topics ranging from new insulating techniques to installing Hardiplank. Check your on-site program guide for a complete list of demonstrations, time and location.
STARS AWARDS GALA
Tickets for the STARS Awards Gala can be purchased at the 21CBEC registration desk through Thursday, August 24 at noon for a cost of $75.00. Seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. A photographer will be available to take pictures of the award winners, their families and/or colleagues. Dancing to The Voltage Brothers will follow the awards presentation. A cash bar will be available.
