A letter from Dave Stormont, North Carolina Home Builders Educational and Charitable Foundation Inc. 2007 Chairman
Every year NCHBA puts together a golf tournament, usually in the Spring, open to any and all association members and their guests, in order to create proceed revenues to fund the Association's Scholarship Program. The event is a blast and just keeps getting better each year and at the end of the day, the resulting scholarship dollars are a blessing to many of our own members and their families.
This year, as in years past, the major sponsor will be Builders Mutual Insurance Company. We all are so appreciative to BMIC for its leadership in this annual tournament and look forward to a great time again this year. Your Executive Committee member in charge of this annual tournament is once again Darrell Patterson, who, along with Deborah Alford from our staff, did an incredible job last year. Darrell and I were brainstorming at the end of 2006, coming up with a few ideas which might make the tournament even more fun, and knowing that most of our builder and associate members are very shy and unassuming (yeah - right!), we decided to create a "bragging rights tournament" - a "we're the baddest team in the state tournament" - a "you wanna piece of me tournament? We are going to call it "The President's Cup" and here to see how it works, click here.
