On the national level, the Women's Council was chartered as an affiliate organization of the National Association of Home Builders in 1955. The Women's Council represents nearly 3,500 women who are actively involved in all aspects of the building industry.
At the North Carolina level, the council is named the N.C. Professional Women in Building. The NCPWB is an organization dedicated to promoting, enhancing and supporting home building and the women in the home building industry. Chartered in 1988, our members work in all aspects of the building industry: as builders, subcontractors, business owners, marketing experts, interior designers, sales representatives and mortgage bankers.
