The North Carolina Home Builders Association presented more than 85 prestigious STARS Awards at the annual STARS Awards Gala on Monday, August 31 at the Hilton Charlotte University Place. The STARS Awards program honors the achievements of home building industry professionals from across North Carolina.

Winners receive recognition in areas such as custom and production single-family home building, remodeling, interior design and merchandising, landscape design, marketing and advertising, and more. Awards are also given to local home builders associations in North Carolina.

The top awards of the evening recognized the following winners:

Glenn Morrison was named the 2026 Distinguished Builder Member of the Year. Morrison is a member of the Inner Banks Home Builders Association.

The 2026 Distinguished Associate Member of the Year Award went to Charlene Allen. She is a member of the Alamance-Caswell Builders Association, Home Builders Association of Winston-Salem, Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County, and the Greater Greensboro Builders Association.

Kim Crawford, Executive Officer of the Foothills Home Builders Association, was recognized as the 2026 Executive Officer of the Year.

The 2026 New Executive Officer of the Year award recognized Lori Neill of the Home Builders Association of Craven and Pamlico Counties.

The Builders Mutual Safety Program or Professional of the Year award recognized EXT Construction as its 2026 recipient. EXT Construction is a member of the Home Builders Association of Raleigh-Wake County.
