NCHBA Celebrates NAHB Chairman Buddy Hughes

NCHBA’s senior leadership joined NAHB Chairman Buddy Hughes on stage during the Board of Directors Meeting to congratulate him on a successful term and present him with a gift. Hughes is a Davidson County builder and a past present of NCHBA. He will now serve as Immediate Past Chairman of NAHB.

Phil Warrick Serves as NAHB Conventions & Meetings Chairman

North Carolina had the unique honor of being represented by Phil Warrick, a member of the Greensboro Builders Association and a past NCHBA president, in the role of NAHB Conventions & Meetings Chairman. Among the many roles Phil held during the week, he took part in the Opening Ceremonies to kick off the International Builders’ Show (pictured).

Erik Anderson Recognized for Leadership in Construction Safety

Congratulations to Erik Anderson of Anderson Moore Kitchen & Bath on being honored with the Leadership in Construction Safety Award during the NAHB/Builders Mutual SAFE Awards.

Erik serves as Board Chairman of the Job-Site Safety Institute and is a leader in advancing safety standards to protect the men and women who build our communities.

Members Serve in National Leadership Roles in 2026

Thomas McClain (center), NCHBA Immediate Past President, is sworn in as a Special Voting Member. Joining him in national leadership roles are Dicky Gephart (left), NCHBA President, who will serve as NAHB State Representative, and Wes Carroll, who was elected Area 4 National Area Chairman.

Holly Fraccaro (left), Executive Officer of the HBA of Durham, Orange & Chatham Counties, was sworn in as Vice President of the NAHB Executive Officers Council (EOC).

North Carolina Builders Awarded Gold at Best in American Living Awards

North Carolina saw two builders take home gold at the NAHB Best in American Living Awards.

Congratulations to Living Stone Design + Build for winning two gold awards:

• Best Detached Home 4,500-6,000 Square Feet, Production or Builder Spec
• Best Design Detail

and Carlton Edwards Construction:

• Best One-of-a-Kind Custom Home, 4,001-5,000 Square Feet

Both companies are members of the Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
